Wow! My son had absolutely NO prior experience and after just 4 lesson's he was rocking it and even reading music! Steven is absolutely wonderful with teens. My son looked forward to every lesson. Best teacher ever!!!!!

Steve is a terrific guitarist and instructor. I'm an adult beginner- playing one year now- on classical guitar. I have been grateful that Steve has been so supportive, positive an knowledgeable. My husband and I were beyond delighted to have Steve and Hekar play at our wedding...we'd seen them several times at Peirano's where they play regularly.They so tastefully arranged a couple of our favorite songs for the ceremony that it kind of took our breath away...made our special day that much more special! I have taken lessons for many years from Steve. He is an excellent teacher in every way- he has a music degree, is very down to earth, has a great sense of humor and is patient... and very skilled at teaching all aspects of guitar. I play acoustic blues and fingerstyle, classical

PRIMA DONNA RISING REVIEW
“Whisky A GoGo Sunset Strip veterans Prima Donna Rising were on full display Saturday night on the hallowed stage at the Whisky A GoGo. I've seen this band multiple times, and they always put on a fantastic show - equal parts kick-ass rock & roll, expert musicianship, in-your-face attitude and stage presence, and a theatrical lead singer that hits amazing notes that astound your ears while simultaneously keeping your eyes transfixed. As great as Kimble Ouerbacker is on vocals, this band is no one trick pony. Steve Sunnarborg on guitar is an incredible player - soaring notes and rock star brashness implore you to get as close to the stage as you can while he pushes his six-string away from his body and into your face. Tony Shibumi on 6 string bass and Greg Collister on drums really keep the train on the tracks in perfect synchronicity and provide a unique rhythm that begs you to raise the horns in the air and bang your head. Hekar Rivera adds the final magic on keyboards and strings that propels the music over the edge and gives it a distinctive sound that no other band in LA can deliver.
